Deep Cut

You made an incision in my chest,

So deep it pierced my trembling heart.

Unbeknownst, you vanished without a trace,

Leaving me to bleed, as you sought another's embrace.

Though I succumbed, I rose anew,

Willing to let your hands wield again.

So accustomed to your touch,

Perhaps this time, your cut won't leave me torn.

This time, you tore my heart apart,

Dismantling its devoted chambers.

Speechless, I gasp for words unspoken,

Staring into your stone cold, searching for reasons unbroken.

Once blind to your actions, I now see,

You took delight in the turmoil you created.

I was the perfect test subject, a willing target,

A puppet in your hands, you manipulated from the start.
