The Invisible Man
Oh Invisible Man
Where have you gone again?
Was it to party and dance?
Wasting your liver away just for a chance
To be seen?
Invisible man
Seen only when heard
Gone before you can see him
Even the seed he planted
In those poor women's stomachs
Do not get to know their planter as they grow.
Living comfortably
Laughing boisterously
Spending carelessly the money you shouldn't have
While the unfortunate mothers
Tends carefully to the seed you've left to sprout
Without your care.
Invisible man
Money suddenly as transparent as he is
When it's time to give his part of the share
For the many seeds he did not tend to.
Liver seemingly, tiredly
running a marathon to keep up with your habits.
But suddenly your body unable to keep up
Your liver fell.
As you lay in your final moments
Your body is now as toxic
As that brown bottle you never seemed to put down
You realize you're not the only invisible person here
As the many women you've met seemed to disappear
the longer you're there.
Invisible man
What did you expect?
A party? A dance?
‘Some’ child in your hands?
Invisible man you didn't see.
That this was not the right way for you to be seen.
