Waves of Slumber
Ancient places where dreams reside,
Shapes lingers soft and slow,
Slumbers peaceful like a warm sunny day
In which washes away what we already know.
Dreams engraved in the back of our minds.
That gives as an escape from reality,
All our troubles and trials, all left behind
In a world full of love, hate and crime.
The dream realm creates an aura,
Over the fantasies of yesterday,
Protecting secrets they won't reveal,
Of hopes and concealed anxieties.
As the sun rises, soft murmurs begin to fill the air.
A soft request coming from the unconscious mind,
Do not forget about us, the end of the dream.
Washing us back into the sudden pull of reality.
