Double Standards

Society is so caught up on gender bias

This country is heading for a major crisis.

What makes Peter different from Paul.

This, I don’t understand at all.

Unlawful sex with a minor,

Wrong for him but not her?

He gets slammed on every brick wall

But she gets to walk with her head up tall?

Society is so caught up on their “high horse,”

It’s sad that we show no remorse.

The small man is incarcerated for the smallest crime,

While others are pocketing every dime.

We are doomed and we know it too;

Sadly there is not much left for us to do.

Because society is so caught up on its unfair bias

The country has reached a major crisis.
