Just Another Crime Story
Screams echo in the void,
“The gunman shot my boy!”
The silence is now awoken,
But the victims' words are forever unspoken.
What a horror scene!!
Blood is splattered everywhere!!
From the body to the pavement,
From the pavement to our future generation.
It sure is sad to see this tragedy
To see us losing our cultural identity
It’s now broadcasting on news,
And all you hear folks do is accuse.
“He brought this upon himself.”
But is this really true?
Or, are we just looking for another excuse.
A disguise to cover our neglect,
And escape from the wrath of misery.
Now tarnished by the stains of regret,
A scar embedded into our society.
The strife, the hate, will it ever cease?
If not, what future can we leave?
A future, filled with ruins and shame?
And when the damage is done,
We say we aren’t the blame.
Just another crime story.
