Fever Dream

Throughout the hazy day,
My temperature soars like birds in the sky
I hear the strange voices chanting in the distance.

Behold the man sitting in the corner of the room,
Waiting to take me away.
He creeps slowly to me,
Dragging me into the blazing inferno.
The flames dancing across my skin,
Leaving painful yet beautiful kisses 

I howl in agony
Screaming for the pain to cease
Driving a mere mortal beyond insanity
